Descendants of his two sons lived in Connecticut, New York, New Hampshire, Illinois, and elsewhere -- Rev. Johnathan Burr (1604- 1641) was born at Redgrave, Suffolk County, England. He immigrated to America with his family in 1639 and settled at Charlestown, Massachusetts. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Maine, Illinois, Iowa, and elsewhere -- Henry Burr (d. 1734), a Quaker, was living near Mount Holly, New Jersey, by 1691. Descendants lived in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and elsewhere.
