If you're going to read poetry - which is a weakness that overcomes many of us at some point - then this is the place to start. This volume has lived in my bedside table for years, and when all else fails, it is to this volume that I turn for comfort. Well, this or Wodehouse. The OBEV also travels with me, and I have taken it on nearly every trip I have made in the past twenty years. Old fashioned? Perhaps. But there is something about this collection of verse which excels all others that I have read, which makes it worth turning to again, to see what new thought there is to find.
