About the author (2006)

Edward Kanze, writer, photographer, & naturalist, is the author of "Notes from New Zealand," "Wild Life: The Remarkable Lives of Ordinary Animals," & "The World of John Burroughs: The Life & Work of One of America's Greatest Naturalists." He writes a weekly column for the Hersam Acorn Newspapers & is a member of the John Burroughs Association, based at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. He lives in Saranac Lake, New York.
