Sister Wendy Beckett is the world's best-loved art expert -- a British nun whose public television series and books have introduced millions and sculpture. Now, with My Favorite Things, Sister Wendy gives us her most eclectic and personal book to date.

The 75 artworks Sister Wendy showcases here are the ones that have intrigued and impressed her the most over the years. Many of these masterpieces are instantly familiar -- works by Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and Vermeer, to name just a few. But many more are refreshingly unexpected, including a number of objects -- a Chinese painting and a chess piece, for example -- that have never before appeared in any Sister Wendy book or television series.

Graced with Sister Wendy's infectious enthusiasm and chockablock with color illustrations, this book is absolutely irresistible.

Review: My Favorite Things: 75 Works of Art from Around the World

This was a beautiful and interesting book. What I like was the entries were her favorites and not all the famous paintings you get in every other book - ie the Mona Lisa. No sign of it here thank goodness. Read full review
