Julie and the Eagles
Julie and Ivy are eating snowcones in Golden Gate Park when they hear an odd sound. It's a baby owl--and it needs help. At a wildlife rescue center, Julie meets Shasta and Sierra, two bald eagles. Shasta's wing is injured, and Julie hopes he'll be able to fly again--but that can only happen if the rescue center raises enough money to release the eagles back into the wild. Julie feels sure that if people knew about the eagles, they'd want to help. For Earth Day, Julie thinks of a unique way to tell the public of the eagles' plight. But money isn't exactly pouring in . . . and time is running out!

I loved it though it was kind of sad when one of the baby eagles died. I love animals but some of them really need help. shasta`s wing was injured but was better at the end of the book. ok here is the story shasta and sierra lost their home because all the trees were cut down for houses and they and two nestlings all of them were sent to a wild life rescue in the randall musem. but at the end they had enough money to build a hack tower for them to live in.
Review: Julie and the Eagles (American Girls: Julie #4)User Review - Goodreads
This I think is my favorite so far in the series - where Julie finds a baby owl, finds a cause she believes in, and volunteers to make a difference. This is one of the reasons I like Julie - she makes me want to do better in my own life.
