Gains and Miller dumb down the history of policing and the injustices committed by police as well as the levels of corruption. They're also quite verbose; sometimes their examples confuse the situations and definitions--such as explaining the ruling of Terry v. Ohio, 1968 (in chap 6 right now).
I have not read this book, however the simple fact that "justin thurber" is written in print is enough to make me say, "STAY AWAY!". Nothing that contain that name deserves hard earned money to be used!
