SPOLIERS!!!!!
I've read all ten now, just finished the tenth one actually, and I amd in love! Theres mystery, theres comedy (The part where Quigley says to carmelita "DON'T GO, you can't be a
xylophone!" made me laugh so hard) Drama! I actually cried with happiness when Quigley revieled who he was! Chills went up my spine! AHHHH SO GOOD! Make sure to have more people read this!!! They say aged 10 and up, but if you were above the age and read it to a younger child, and every now and then explained whats happeneing, they could read it!

This is now one of my favorite books.I finnished it in 3 days. I love mysteries and this was the most mysterious book I have ever read. You never know what's coming next. I love how the book ended with some mystries still uncovered, it makes you think and ask questions like: Do you think they ever found thier friends? Is one of the parents still alive. Lemony Sniket is now one of my favorite aurthors along with Sonya Sones, Meg Cabot, and Jerry Spilelli. This has beenmy 2nd review. I love to read bokks especially mysteries.

I just loved this book by Lemony Snicket. Once again, this book tells about how the Baudlaires have many, many miserable times. This book is mainly about how the Baudlaires get seperated from their baby sister, Sunny. Count Olaf tortures her by making her cook, clean, and many other things. There is a slippery slope nearby, and Violet and Klaus meet up with the last triplet of the Quagmires, Quigley. Quigley has drawn a map of the Mortamain Mountains, and is planning on taking the Baudlaires to their sister. THey go through the VFD headquarters to notice that it is already burned down and that Olaf has taken the Snicket File! READ THE BOOK!!! :)

This was not one of the best books in the series but not bad either. My heart did race somewhat in this book for some steps were taken to find out the mystery of the Baudilaire parents past. Leaving you feeling somewhat spooked. Don't read any of these before bed.

I do not know where to start.Remember this review is for people who have read the previous books first. First of all let me split this review into categories. Story, Character development, and other.
Story: The story is actually one of the most important features of this chapter of the Bauldilaires. The book starts where The Carnivorous Carnival left off. These are the struggles, yet again. BUT FOR ONCE they have some motivation, to find out about V.F.D and the remaining volunteers.
Character : This is not shown as much in this book, as I would have liked. Though a major character development plot hole was shown, Mr Snicket could have done more, I would think. First of all Sunny, who is the youngest Baudelaire child, had gone through some major development. She had figured out her passion was to cook, and strengthens her vocabulary. This is important because it explains the third talent in the three children. For example Violet is a good inventor, Klaus is a great researcher, and now we know that Sunny is a great Cook! There is a little romance, that did not go into detail with Quigly Quagmire and Violet. For humor purposes Mr Snicket, did not go into that detail, but I believed it would have made a huge difference if he did. I am not saying I did not respect his decision, just I believed he could have expanded, and showed they are not children anymore but young adults or teenagers. Oh, and who could forgot the very evil Count Olaf, there is no development with him, but he does get a new very important associate who becomes a nuisance to the Baudelaires, and yes she does play a major role in Count Olaf's troop later on in the series.
Other: This book answers most of the questions you have throughout the whole series. It is a very important book and should be read with great caution, because there are a lot of details. All the details in this book are very important.
FINAL RATING: 9/10
Verdict: Great book, had some minor setbacks, but had a great story, great new characters, and

This book starts off with violet and klaus plumeting down the mountain. Violet stops the caravan and they climb up the mountain in search of sunny. They after a few unfortunate surcumstances they end up in a cave where they meet a kind stranger. He is Quigley. They figure out where sunny is and do everything in their power to rescue her. During all this a small romance is shown with Violet and Quigley. And finally sunny can do things for herself. Klaus is not extremely inportant in this book but if you read book 12 and 13 he is inportant.
If you have read the whole seires then read the following
VFD stands for volenteer fire department. There is no surviving parent. And Beatrice who is mentioned in the books is the orphans mother who lemony snicket was in love with. And most inportant count olaf was once in love with kit snicket who ends up dying in child birth.
Those are the secrets of Seiries of Unfortuante Events.
With all due respect,
Lemony Snicket
