About the author (1994)

Hugh Williamson is an editor at the Asia Monitor Resource Centre in Hong Kong. An active trade unionist, his articles have also been published in New Statesman Society, Tribune and International Labour Reports. He has worked in labour relations in London and currently lives in Frankfurt.
