About the author (1998)

Katherine Stone was born in Seattle. She attended Stanford University, where she completed her pre-med requirements while majoring in English, and received her MD from the Univerity of Washington. After her Internal Medicine residency in San Francisco, she did an Infectious Diseases fellowship in LA. One of the world's largest outbreaks of Legionnaires' Disease occurred at the LA hospital where she was doing her fellowship, giving Stone the opportunity to write and lecture on the mysterious new disease. From there she began to write stories, integrating her knowledge of medicine, and has since written sixteen novels, including Bed of Roses, Imagine Love, Pearl Moon, and Twins.

Author Anne Stuart was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1949 and grew up in Princeton, New Jersey. She had just turned 25 when her first novel, Barrett's Hill, was published in 1974. She has won numerous awards including the Romance Writers of America's Lifetime Achievement Award. She currently lives in Vermont with her husband.
