In Edgar Award winner Thomas Adcock's fourth Neil Hockaday mystery, the "shamrock detective" returns to battle personal demons and a serial killer stalking New York City's gay underworld. Furloughed from the force and battling the bottle, Hock stays on the case as a private eye--as the tide of blood relentlessly rises.

I wouldn't recommend this book to everyone. The subject matter is quite graphic. The characters in the book are wonderful- compassionate and human and the "bad guys" are colorfully drawn. Read full review
