The print is so small I couldn't read anything about James Brock. He was a friend of my grandparents in Cameron, Texas. I have an oil painting still life that he painted for my grandmother to match the colors in her living room. I also have one of his western bronzes of a cowboy with his hands down by his sides and he has a rope around his right arm. It looks like he's going to go do some calf roping. I also have a pamphlet that has a personal note to my mother, and his autograph.
Is his art collectible or is he another obscure artist that has his personal fans, but he never became world renowned.
I wish I could see a better copy of the section of the book that he is mentioned in.
He was a great sculptor and a decent painter; but he was also a fine man who I can call a family friend.
