When Nemo Raglan's father is murdered in one of the most vicious killings of recent years, Nemo must return tothe New England island he thought he had escaped for good, Burnley Island... and the shadowy farmhouse called Hawthorn. But thsi murder was no crime of human ferocity. What butchered Nemo's father may in fact be something far more terrifying - something Nemo and his younger brother and sister have known since they were children.

Review: The Hour Before Dark

User Review  - Farhan - Goodreads

A very average and tepid horror novel. Got it since Publishers Weekly had some very good things to say about it. Surprising since they are usually right on the money. Anyhow, this novel reminded me why I only read horror fiction when Stephen King's name is on it. Read full review
