One of the best years of MY life... I worked for Mr Douglas for over a year and he was one of the most wonderful employers I have ever had. Everyday he would come into my office and share story after story of his life. I have a special fondness for this man who reminded me so much of my own grandfather. When he asked me to help out with some of the chapters, I was very much honored at the request. It gave me great joy to be such a small part of this man's life in such a big way. This collection of stories was put together for his children and grandchildren, so that they would have a piece of him after he was gone. What a beautiful thing to do, from such a beautiful and wonderful man. The original book was printed in 2003 and when Mr. Douglas handed me an autographed copy, I saw that he had addressed it "To My Friend" Tammy Perryman. I was very honored as I felt more like family and less like an employee. I read through it occasionally even now. I wonder at his life which is so full of life and history. It is a great book about the life a wonderful man.
