Fast-paced and very entertaining. There are also many interesting memories about all of the horses who played Trigger. It's a short book and so is short on details. It's also amazing how many times Roy and Dale mention that either they had to beat their children or that they got a whuppin'. Read full review

About the author (1995)

JANE and MICHAEL STERN are the authors of the best-selling "Roadfood "and the acclaimed memoir "Two for the Road. "They are contributing editors to Gourmet, where they write the James Beard Award-winning column "Roadfood," and they appear weekly on NPR's "The Splendid Table. "Winners of a James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award, the Sterns have also been inducted into the Who's Who of Food and Beverage in America.

MICHAEL and JANE STERN are contributing editors to Gourmet, where they write the James Beard Award-winning monthly column "Roadfood." They also do a weekly "Two for the Road" segment for The Splendid Table on public radio. Their Web site, www.roadfood.com, was named the best Internet food site by PC Magazine, Forbes, and Yahoo.com. In 1992 they received a James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award and were inducted into the Who"s Who of Food and Beverage in America.
