Starts off a little slow, but builds up to a strong, emotional ending. The slow start helps to create the feeling that you have read a story covering a man's entire life.

Review: Barney's Version

User Review  - Charissa - Goodreads

I loved this book. I laughed a lot and even cried a little. The narrator is a lying, crazy drunk; yet somehow his frequent cries for "Miriam, my heart's desire," force me to like him, just a little. I need to read more of this author's stuff. Read full review
