The Vow: The Kim and Krickitt Carpenter Story
Broadman & Holman Publishers, 2000 - Family & Relationships - 224 pages
The life that Kim and Krickitt Carpenter knew was shattered on November 24, 1993, two months after their marriage, when their car was hit from behind by a fast-moving truck. A massive head injury left Krickitt in a coma for weeks. When she finally emerged from the coma, she recognized everyone but Kim. The Vow is the true tale of the reconstruction of two lives and a marriage after a life-changing event.

It's one chapter too long. The book was good but got very long-in-the-tooth towards the end. I wish it had ended before all the discussion about the media, dropping their daughter, what their kids are doing, Billy Simon etc. etc. The media discussion especially really cheapened their story, in my opinion.

Too religious for my taste. It wasn't very descriptive which was strangely nice. It was a good change of pace from other books. It is a story of hope that is inspiring. Read full review
