Review: The Beasts of Clawstone Castle

User Review  - Goodreads

I read this as a child, picked it up from the library. It was a fun read and I enjoy Eva Ibbotson's writing. Her best is Journey to the river sea. Both remind me of my childhood and are nostalgic reads for me. This book is funny and exciting, and I learned the word 'banshee' from it! Read full review

oh my god. this book took me back to the days when I had started to navigate the world of books. Eva Ibbotson is a magician, undoubtedly. Such colourful characters, settings and that immense, 'nothing-is-impossible' imagination! Loving her is so easy its not even funny. :-) Read full review

I normally like enchanted stories so I decided to read '' The Beasts of Clawstone Castle." I wouldn't exactly call the ghosts 'beasts' because I call beasts huge hairy things! But I still thought it was VERY good! (Review by Maya, age 8, Rebecca's daughter) Read full review
