Re Guermantes Way: Fascinating. Odd, both book and style and narrator. Can't wait for the next one. Re Cities of the Plain: Yet odder. Must have been scandalous at the time, although the understated tone underplays the scandal. But the idea of the narrator getting married is truly shocking. Read full review
