This one is more of a 3.5 stars book. I was blown away by the author's ability to write from the prospective of a unique 5-year-old. However, I had some issues with a few of the events in the book. A few of the mother's actions felt more like plot devices rather than being character-driven. Read full review

Not sure how I feel
Interesting book. It's a challenge to get into right out of the gate because of the way it is written from the child's point of view. There are some definite humorous moments, and
then some terribly sad moments. All in all, if you are looking for something to read, give it a shot. A solid 3/5

I was excited to read this book after reading all the wonderful reviews and set my expectations high. I'm disappointed, though. The story is good - about a 5 year old boy and his Ma living in a room ... Read full review

Didn't really enjoy this, but it was interesting to read a book from a 5 year olds perspective, and I think the author captured that perspective fairly well. Read full review
