About the author (1996)

Garner is the food critic on UNC-TV, N.C.'s statewide public television network. This book was inspired by his 10-part series on traditional Southern foods that appeared in "Our State" magazine. He has appeared on "Paula's Home Cookin'; Food Nation" with Bobby Flay; Travel Channel's "Road Trip", and ABC's "Good Morning America".
