Only skims the surface. If you already have other herbals, you can imagine what is in this. I got it to get a recipe for the traditional compresses they use in Thailand with massage...and there is only a very basic recipe in the book. Check it out of the library before you buy. Read full review

About the author (2003)

C. Pierce Salguero is a member of the American Herbalist Guild and the Associatied Bodywork and Massage Professionals. He has a degree in Anthropology and East Asian Studies, and has travelled widely in Thailand, India and China studying traditional medicines. He lived in Thailand for some years, studying under Lek Chaiya, Baan Nit and the Shivagokomarpaj Traditional Medicine Hospital, where he also taught courses on traditional massage and herbal medicine.
