Starlight Home Entertainment, Jan 1, 2003 - Child rearing - 78 pages
Pediatrician Harvey Karp presents simple and effective steps for calming a crying baby, revealing the amazing secret used for centuries by the world's top parents ... the calming reflex. He demonstrates what he calls the five S's - techniques used independently or together to help simulate the conditions in the womb. They are swaddling, side or stomach position, shushing, swinging or jiggling, and sucking.

Although it was filled with good advice, I felt like so much of it didn't apply to Clint (or Wyatt) since they both just cried when they were hungry. I think it's a great book to recommend to parents who are trying to figure out why their kids are crying. Read full review
