For many years he worked as an electronics specialist & currently studied voice. He married Inessa Tuman, pianist, in 1968, & her hand problems triggered his research in piano playing. When Mikhail Niks emigrated to the United States in 1979 under a political refugee status, with his wife & children, Dimitri & Marina, he continued his research even more intensely. He accomplished his method of playing piano & typing without tension. In 1989, medical experiments provided him with the necessary knowledge in the field of Kinesiology. At the present time he resides & works in Southern California.
