I am a Samoan living in New Zealand. I stumbled on this book by accident when I searched the net. Impressed by the quality of the contents of this book I searched and found other books about Samoa from the same authors and they really are outstanding. I am so grateful and appreciate the work of these great writers who are probably now long gone may their souls rest in peace, writers who took the time and effort to research and study about Samoa and its history bringing it forth to us this day so we can appreciate who we are. I am overwhelmed by the quality of their contents and indeed brought tears to my eyes as each element of this book through historical pictures, descriptions, the culture even the the gagana Samoa used in its right grammer, the punctuation used to ensure the correct pronounciation of the language and the effort to translate to english in themselves convey the authors strive to bring to us information that are true and accurate. The books enveloped me in a spiritual way I was overwhelmed with a feeling of love and compassion for my people and I'm reminded of who I am and where I am from. The books are true masterpiece. Faafetai lava mo nai alii Siamani ma la su'esu'ega i aso ua mavae ua tatou maua ai nei faamanuiaga.
