About the author (2008)

Bo Bengtson is regarded as the foremost international authority on show dogs past and present. This breeder, handler, and top international judge was born and educated in Sweden and has spent several decades studying dogs worldwide. He has bred or owned more than a hundred champions, including many Best in Show winners. Bengtson is the author of several critically acclaimed books about dogs including Dogs of the World, The Whippet, and Dogs and Dog Shows Around the World. He has founded and published award-winning publications Sighthound Review and Dogs in Review. He lives near Santa Barbara, California.
