I love this guide! I'm a novice sewer who *just* got a machine. This book helped me to learn the basics of garment construction and some very useful hand-stitches for the heady days when I didn't have my machine. I know I will keep going back to this time and again as I continue to learn this craft.
I have used this book for so many years for all my sewing, it was always my goto reference.
When I immigrated I passed it on to a friend at work who was as keen on sewing her own clothes
as I had been. I thought my sewing days were over and said a happy farewell to a good source of information. Well now I have a grandaughter who is so interested in creating outfits for her dolls, and enjoys the art of design, that I realise that I was hasty in giving away this wonderful book and I do wish I still had it to pass on to a very creative young lady.
