Natasha Lynn Rabin [Year of the Dog] has been a marketing consultant [for major motion pictures, zoos and aquariums and cultural organizations, to name a few] as well as an exhibiting artist, but finally listened to the persistent voice in her head prompting her to write children's books. Year of the Cat is the debut title in her new series of Chinese-culture themed books with collaborator, award-winning illustrator, Josie Yee. She has also written a series of forthcoming books entitled, Being Esmerelda. She lives next door to eleven cats with her sweetheart, Kenneth [Year of the Dog] overlooking the Hudson River.
