His parents were William Billingsley and Mary Haward. He came to Canada as a soldier in the British Army in 1776. He married Elizabeth Pearson, daughter of Christopher Pearson and Isabella Wells. They had seven known children and lived in New Carlisle, Quebec. Richard died in 1832. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, British Columbia and Wisconsin. |
