Call Me Stranger is a fantasy for adults laced with our childish love of the magickally impossible. Yes! Magick -- not Magic!!!It took a thousand years for Cat to get his team together to save the World from Darline. Once she was a Good Witch but a boy friend (Sir James Hawkney) issue sent her over the edge and ready to fight the World. Cat, her loyal Familiar, now had the job of recruiting help to save the World from his now lunatic mistress. Cat did all a faithful Good Familiar could, but Time was running out and the rules tied his paws. The shy accountant, Norman, was the key, but didn't even know he was a Warlock, because Magick had died out before he was born. Cats' Witches weren't reliable either. They included dipsomaniac Erin, kleptomaniac Lydia, pipe-smoking tramp, Ramona, child-medium brat, Melanie (who was also Alice), a dapper Warlock-hypnotist, Darren, and a circus Dwarf called Irving from an unknown planet, who met Cat while lost as he practised Time Travel. Marching sheep, talking rabbits, four-foot frogs, twelve-inch crickets and three worried ghosts didn't help much, either. Controlling everything was the vain, enigmatic and unpredictable Cat. Whose side is he really on...?
