About the author (2004)

Erika Kendra" earned a BA in History and a BA in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh. She began her career in the graphic communication industry as an editor at Graphic Arts Technical Foundation. She moved to Los Angeles in 2000 and now works as an a freelance editor, writer, and designer. She also provides desktop-publishing training and prepress consulting for the printing industry. When she isn't working, she can usually be found prowling in book stores or enjoying the southern California sun.

Erika is the author of several Against The Clock titles, including "QuarkXPress: Introduction to Electronic Documents; QuarkXPress: Advanced Electronic Documents; Preflight and File Preparation; " and "Adobe PageMaker. Creating Electronic Documents." She is also the co-author of "Adobe Photoshop: Advanced Digital Imaging" and the "Design Companion for the Digital Artist.
