There are tons of artists and songs I don't care about in here, but it is a really well-written book with a wealth of info and anecdotes that make many of the entries worth reading regardless.

Fred Bronson is the author of the perennial best-seller "The Billboard Book of Number" "One Hits," currently in its fifth edition, as well as co-author of "Dick Clark's American Bandstand." His column, Chart Beat, appears in "Billboard "and online. He lives in Los Angeles.
