Part story, part popular science, part sports writing, I thought it was a captivating story. It follows the authors quest to understand how a tribal group in Mexico approaches running, and what that ... Read full review

This book was so unbelievable that I googled several of the names, runs, etc to make sure they actually exist - and they do! Super amazing and inspiring and encouraging. Made me want to go for a run and try eating chia seeds again. Read full review

I don't know what it is about reading about ultramarathonners that has me so enthralled....but just like Scott Jurek's Eat and Run, this book kept me engrossed, gave me something to think about in my own (smaller scale) running, and gave me some health advice in the mix. It's a great read. Read full review

I LOVED this book! I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to a non-runner but for me it was awesome. I loved every second of it from the story of the tribe to the running form to the shoe styles to the science and history. Perfect fit for me. I can't believe it sat on my shelf as long as it did.
