About the author (2001)

William Spence was previously a Professor of Construction Engineering Technology at the School of Technology and Applied Science. He has written numerous successful books in his field, including Residential Framing and Woodworking Basics, in addition to magazine articles. Spence has designed homes--and built two of his own.
