A person is more likely to win the lottery than an Olympic medal –- and we all know how unlikely it is to win the lottery.  While many have the physical ability, very few have the mental requirements to achieve success.  What if you had the answers to success from Olympian Nikki Stone, who overcame a debilitating injury to win an Olympic gold medal?

When Turtles Fly takes a few key rules of Nikki’s and shows how these same simple rules can be found in the heart-warming, humorous, and unbelievably inspiring stories of 40 extraordinarily successful individuals, including such talents as:

Actress Mia Farrow                                      Designer Tommy Hilfiger

                                         Prince Albert of Monaco

Best-selling Author Dr. Stephen Covey          X-Games champion Shaun White

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin                                 NFL Quarterback Steve Young

Celebrity Chef Todd English                         and many others.

These inspirational stories are combined with the Olympian’s personal messages and daily activities that will give you the hands-on tools to achieve your ultimate goals.

Nikki Stone has crafted a book that offers the unique philosophy of the memorable Turtle Effect. When Turtles Fly will inspire you to do more than leave your success up to the luck of the lottery.

* I could use some help wording this to leave readers wanting more, or with a feeling that they HAVE to but the book.  I think I need more of a pull (particularly with the last paragraph)

** I was wondering if you think I should include some of the book's themes (passion, commitment, overcoming adveristy, risk, teamwork, focus, and confidence)

** Also, I do NOT have final confirmation from a couple of my top contributors YET (but I'm still pushing for this to hopefully happen soon), so I may have to adjust the back cover IF I don't get certain contributors' releases for some reason.

About the author (2010)

At the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan, Nikki Stone became America’s first-ever Olympic Champion in the sport of inverted aerial skiing. What made this performance so unbelievable, was the fact that less than two years earlier, a chronic spinal injury prevented her from standing, much less walking or skiing off a 12-foot tall snow jump that launches aerialists 50 feet into the air.  This top spot was far from foreign to Nikki, as throughout her career she earned 35 World Cup medals, eleven World Cup titles, four national titles, two yearlong Aerial World Cup titles, and a World Championship title.  You may have seen Nikki in one of her televised commercials or in one of her many television appearances on shows like Late Night with David Letterman and the Today Show.  In addition to her skiing endeavors, Nikki is also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Union College in New York and a Suma Cum Laude  masters graduate of the University of Utah.  Her aerial retirement is less than restful as she works as a personal & professional development coach, trains other Olympic athletes in speaking skills, hosts group skiing adventures, sits on 5 different sports and philanthropic Committees, and authored the highly anticipated book, "When Turtles Fly".Stone now travels around the world working as a sought-after inspirational speaker, sharing her secrets to success.  She encourages and inspires her audiences to "Spread their wings."
