Eberhard Nestle's introduction to New Testament textual criticism presents the materials, history, and theories involved in the field. This book includes a chapter of critical notes in which Nestle displays a remarkably rigorous eclectic approach; for example, he openly affirms that the reading "in Isaiah the prophet" is original in Matthew 13:35.
