About the author (2009)

Charles W. Sasser is a twenty-nine-year retired veteran of the U.S. Army, an ex-Green Beret, a former war correspondent, Miami cop, and a Tulsa, Oklahoma, detective. In addition, he has written or co-written a number of books and novels on the Vietnam War, including "One Shot -- One Kill, The Walking Dead, " and "First Seal, " all available from Pocket Books.
