About the author (2000)

Author Hope S. Warshaw, MMSc, RD, CDE, is a nationally recognized expert on the subjects of healthy eating and diabetes. She is the author of six books, including The American Diabetes Association Guide to Healthy Restaurant Eating (American Diabetes Association, 1998). She has written articles for Parade, Cooking Light, and Walking Magazine. She has also appeared on Good Morning America, CNN, TV Food Network, and Lifetime Cable. Warshaw received the 1993 Distinguished Service Award from The American Dietetic Association's Diabetes Care and Education group.
