About the author (2010)

Joji Numata was born in Tokyo in 1963. After graduating from Waseda University, he worked for a major advertising agency before quitting in 1990 to devote himself to writing fulltime. His most well-known novel,A Sex Pervert's Diary, was an underground bestseller,establishing Numata as a major writer of "sensual fiction" (kanno shosetsu). His other works includePersimmonandEducating Momoko.
