I must commend Mr Sabato for his in depth analysis of American politics and why we vote the way we do. I recommend this book to any serious scholar of political history, but some of the raw numbers may be a bit dry for the average Joe Sixpack (who probably wouldnt buy this book anyway). Mr Sabato effectively illustrates the corrosiveness, and yes, effectiveness, of negative campaign ads, of political operatives such as Lee Atwater and Karl Rove.
