My son loves this book, since he was 6 months old (he is now 1year). Not sure why, but he can sit through entire thing. He loves the moving eyes and wants me to shake the book for him. I think he recognizes the characters from the videos. :) Read full review
ISBN 1416940634 - In general, the best thing about VeggieTales books is that they teach Christian ideas without mentioning the god that they're clearly about. This gives the books a broader audience than many religious books. The last two VeggieTales books I've read DID mention god, which left me disappointed.
In rhyme, Larry has ordered, and finally received, a pair of Goody-Good Glasses. These allow him to see things that he hadnít seen before - problems he's able to fix! He enjoys them enough to want to share them with you.
The rhyme is bit clunky in a couple places, but it's not often and the message is nice enough to overcome it. Besides, kids aren't going to notice it all that much! Author John Trauscht manages to not mention god which, as I said, I think is a good thing. The illustrations, by the author and Michael Moore (not THAT Michael Moore), are typical VeggieTales. They're cute and colorful and have an added bonus: every page features one pair of moving, plastic eyes. Kids will enjoy the story and the eyes and learn a good lesson about how good you feel when you good things.
