The first truly exhaustive study on the person of the antichrist, this book still stands shoulder-to-shoulder with more recent studies, and it can still be viewed as the definitive work on this subject. Pink's deep understanding of God's Word provides him with a solid foundation for this scholarly serious study, devoid of sensationalism or overwrought emotionalism. Pink is at his best when he is grounded in the Word, as he is here. This book carefully lays out the scriptural basis for recognizing the end times and the person of the antichrist, without making any claims that such a person existed at the time of the writing. This work provides an excellent foundation for anyone who is interested in knowing the Biblical perspective on the antichrist.

I caught an interesting statement in Mr. Pink's chapter on the names of antichrist. When mentioning Shebna, he points out he must have been an usurper since Eliakim was supposed to be in this 'governing' position.
A more careful reading of the story of King Hezekiah and his evil son Manasseh's kingdom following his death reveals that Shebna indeed was
governing in Eliakim's place. Not usurped, Shebna was just given this duty in King Menasseh's corrupt kingdom.
