This is an outstanding and detailed resource for genealogists seeking records or history for early Stamford, CT. It provides many individual names, often with biographical information. It covers the establishment and history of the town, including the churches and governance. It is both easy and interesting to read. The only difficulty I had with the text was understanding the logic of the page numbers listed in the index of names at the back of the text.
