Country Music Comin' Home
Country music's comin' home. Once again the songs reflect the beliefs of the people: life is hard but sometimes funny; love is sweet and parting bitter; death is certain and often tragic; God is real and heaven everlasting. From Southern Appalachia through the Delta South across the Western plains and mountains into the vast Northern reaches, the heart of traditional Country music lies in the life-sustaining faith of the people. In these pages you'll find the tears and the talents, the tragedies and the triumphs of the stars who are bringing Country music back full-circle. May the circle be unbroken.

Daddy, Hawkshaw Hawkins, was NOT 43. He would have been 42 on December 22 of 1963 if he had not died in the plane crash with Patsy and Cowboy on March 5, 1963. Some families may have been notified, but, I, his daughter, was NOT notified. I learned of it because a friend called me and told me that my Daddy's name was on the radio...and there is more to the story!
