I read this book about 8 years ago. It was so helpful that I still regularly recommend this book to people, even practical strangers, who are having headache problems
For many years I would get a
headache everyday, right around the same time of the day. I went no where without ibuprofen in my purse. I was so used to having a daily headache for so many years that I literally thought everyone had daily headaches and that headaches were a normal part of living. Headaches are not a normal part of living!
One morning, I saw Dr. Buchholz on a morning TV talk show with one of his former headache patients. He was promoting his treatment plan and this book. I bought the book and implemented his dietary recommendations - not perfectly but quite a bit. In one month, my headaches become less intense; in just under two months they stopped completely.
After slowly adding foods back into my diet, I found that my primary headache triggers are caffeine and red wine. As long as I stay off of them I don't have headaches. When I add them back into my diet, the daily headaches return.
The cause of my daily headache was dietary. It wasn't a brain tumor, aneurysm, eyesight problem, muscle tension or any of those other things that all of us who are prone to headaches think could be the problem.
Give the treatment plan a chance. You will NEVER regret it.
