About the author (2008)

Stefanie Japel is the author of the very popular Fitted Knits. Her designs have been featured in all the most popular knitting Websites and magazines, such as Knitty.com, Knitscene and Interweave Knits, and in books including Stitch 'n Bitch Nation (Workman), Knit Wit (Harper Collins), Not Another Teen Knitting Book, (Sterling), KnitGrrl (Watson-Guptill) and Big Girl Knits (Clarkson Potter). Her web site, www.glampyre.com, is where Stefanie posts her blog, sells original pattern designs and offers free patterns. In her "other life", she is a geologist specializing in mineral physics.
