About the author (1980)

Megged's family immigrated to Palestine from Wloclavek, Poland, in 1926. Until 1950, he worked on a kibbutz in Haifa. His first short story collection, "Sea Winds," was inspired by his life on kibbutz Sedot Yam. His prose often shows strong autobiographical emphasis. Megged's stories and novels have been translated into many languages.
