About the author (2008)

JIM ARNOSKY has written ninety-eight books about wildlife and nature for children, and has been awarded the American Association for the Advancement of Science Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in science illustration. When he and his wife are not travelling and exploring nature, they live in Vermont.
