About the author (1993)

Blaine Lucyk, the author of Advanced Topics in DB2, is also the instructor of a 3 day course based on the book taught in Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia. He is a member of the IBM GOLD program - a world wide network of DB2 specialists - and presently consults to clients in Germany, the US, and Korea. Recently he was a consultant to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and previous to that, the Australian Tax Office; the National Department of Defense (Canada); and Revenue Canada where he received "Secret Security Clearance" for sensitive Canadian Government projects. He presented at International DB2 User Group (IDUG) conferences held in Europe, Australia, and the United States. He made presentations at IBM!=s DB2 Technical Conference in Toronto as well as Guide and local DB2 user group conferences in around the world. He has written for the Relational Journal, Info DB; reviewed an IBM Red Book on Data Propagator; and co-authored "DB2 Recovery Restart," a GUIDE publication.
