George Goes to Town

Front Cover
Little, Brown, 1958 - City and town life - 41 pages
When George's family moves from the country to the city, George, a curly black poodle, suffers the pangs of the neglected and rejected. While each member of the family goes off in his own direction, George is left to his own devices, and being a somewhat enterprising animal, he plays havoc with the orderly routine of the apartment, a butcher store, a department store, a merry-go-round, a zoo, and a sight-seeing boat. His dismayed family reunites and decides that for George's sake they had best move back to the country. George is happy, not because he loves the country, but because he loves his family, and without the lures of the town to separate them they are all together once again.
