Send Me an Angel

Front Cover
University of North Carolina Press, 1946 - Fiction - 122 pages
This story includes several episodes in the life of Delilah, a black woman. In her youth she had been careless and free with her love; now at forty she is old and worn. Delilah is not an altogether lovely character. She is mean, stubborn, and antisocial. Each reader must decide for himself whether the circumstances of her life justify her attitudes.
